Infested Angel History

Origin and Early Years (2019-2020)

Infested Angel materialized in the darkened alleys of Birmingham in 2019. The band was conceived by guitarist/vocalist Andy and drummer Pat, united by a shared vision of crafting a sonic manifestation of misery, mental illness, hell, and the darkest corners of the human psyche. Their raw, unfiltered expression found a home in the heart of the UK metal scene.

Debuting the Abyss: "Nourish Me, Satan" EP (2021)

In 2021, Infested Angel thrust themselves into the limelight with the release of their debut EP, "Nourish Me, Satan." Laden with guttural vocals and blistering riffs, the record served as an aural descent into despair and earned the band early recognition among devotees of extreme metal.

Revelation of Submission: "Submit to Death" EP (2022)

Building upon that momentum, 2022 witnessed the unleashing of "Submit to Death" EP, a relentless follow-up that further solidified the band's sonic identity. Infested Angel continued their unapologetic exploration of misery, mental illness, and existential torment, sharpening the oppressive sound that would come to define them.

Live Onslaught and Festival Dominance (2019-2023)

Infested Angel brought their sonic onslaught to stages across the UK, leaving an indelible mark at venues such as The Gryphon in Bristol, The Fenton in Leeds, The Fulford Arms in York, and Rebellion in Manchester. The band's fervor also extended to the festival circuit, with standout performances at Eradication Festival (2021 and 2023), UK Slam Fest (2022), Counterstrike Metal Festival (2022), and Beastly Bristol Early May Weekender (2023).

Lineup Evolution and Northern Europe Tour (2021-2024)

While Tom handled bass on the band's first two EPs, later live duties were taken up by Phil for shows in late 2022 and 2023. In December 2024, Infested Angel took their desolate wall of sound across Northern Europe alongside death metal legends Vader and Toxaemia. Performing as a duo of Andy and Pat, the band delivered the same oppressive intensity they had already become known for on UK stages.

Debut Full-Length: "Threnodies to Eternal Despair" (2025)

In 2025, Infested Angel unveiled their debut full-length album, "Threnodies to Eternal Despair," marking a new chapter in the band's evolution. Bleak, punishing and cathartic in equal measure, the record plunged even deeper into the themes that define their desolate sonic identity and carried their music beyond the UK, reaching record store shelves in Asia.

Further Descent: New Lineup, Europe and Japan (2025)

With Rich joining on bass, Infested Angel entered a new era of live devastation. In September 2025, the band toured Europe once again, this time alongside Atheist and Origin, bringing their blackened death metal assault to venues including Proxima in Warsaw, P60 in Amstelveen, and The Underworld in London. That momentum carried into December 2025, when Infested Angel brought their sonic devastation to Japan for shows in Osaka and Tokyo, including performances supporting Cryptopsy at Shibuya WWWX.
